Are there any programs besides TT that require student input during lectures?

Recommended Posts

In Teaching Textbooks math courses, the lecturer pauses at times during the lectures to wait for the student to input an answer to a problem or a certain step of a problem.

I find that this is very effective at keeping my son focused on the lecture. I’ve seen many other video-based courses, but they are just lectures, and don’t have this interactive feature. Are there any other programs besides Teaching Textbooks that offer this feature—actually having the student input answers during the lecture? (Not just a video lecture followed by a problem set.)

We are looking for Pre-Algebra.

If Teaching Textbooks went a little deeper on a conceptual level, that would be wonderful. I keep hoping to find something similar, but better.

Thanks!
