I'm on a roll. So are my kids because they are very motivated to get things done so they can get out in the nice weather.

So far we have:

Sorted all the laundry and have started the first load in the washing machine.

Folded and put away one load of clean laundry.

Dd has weeded one wheelbarrow full of weeds and has earned $10.00.

Ds is doing one hour of work in his room.

Cleaned and swept the kitchen.

Replied to an e-mail from the Y director that I'm working with to deal with a gang problem at the Y.

Next up: get dd working on her room. And hopefully do something sitting down for myself.

I'll join you all today, I really need some accountability. It's Saturday here but I want to get the house sorted so we can just get on with other stuff this week while DH is off work.

Clean up the kitchen

Fold the laundry

Hang out and wash other laundry

Sort out our bedroom

Sort out boys bedroom

Get girls to work on their bedroom

Get meat out for dinner

Vacuum entire house

Mop floors

Clean bathroom

Clean laundry tub etc

Hoping the smallest person spends much of his day following DH around doing whatever he is doing.

TGIF Everyone!

Today I am going to hit the ground running and get caught up on the laundry.

I will clean the kitchen too, of course.

Then I really, really need to sit down with the taxes and the bills.

Oh - and lesson planning. I need to do that too.

This would be my list too.... except instead of lesson planning I need to make my list of things to look at at the conference next week.

I suppose I should say something uplifting and encouraging instead of how much I don't wanna?

Okay, I'm going to resort laundry (kids just brought more down), fold one load and start another, and then find some music to play in the kitchen to give me a boost in there.

I'm in!

Actually I've been tackling the whole week. The side of the family with the Clean Genes is coming here for Easter so I've been doing some long overdue cleaning. Yesterday and today I've been working in the kitchen--fridge, cupboards, walls and later today I'm hitting up my open hutch and cleaning the microwave.

My other job is to keep my teens working. They're not thrilled about spending their spring break this way.

1. Library so I don't have to renew 13 books for the 4th time because I keep forgetting to bring them back.

2. Figure out dinner. It's Friday in lent and I have a can of tuna and some pasta. Call MIL for her tuna pasta salad recipe and hope I have the ingredients/seasonings cos otherwise tuna is blecky in this house.

3. Print up cut outs for States Study Curriculum

4. Waste time on WTM and FB.

I have #4 well underway. :)

#3 might not get done - but I did do a lot of research for my state's study lesson plans, would that count?

Can I join in here too?

I have to do a whole house unpack & deep clean...by Monday. I've been working on it all week, and it's looking a little better but still pretty bad. Did I mention we moved 4 months ago and I still can't find half our stuff??? Including most of the cleaning supplies?

Today's Goals:

1. Tackle the giant pit of laundry, both clean and dirty. SORT out clothing I'm not in love with, bag it up for a garage sale, and take it to the shed. Old house had a giant walk in closet - this house has half of a half bath for a closet in the master. Somehow need to dream up more clothing storage!

2. Tackle the school room. Should be able to finish this today, especially if dd helps.

3. Get at least a few loads of dishes done, so we can cook again. Pizza round 2 is the game plan for tonight - thank goodness for Papajohns and the recent free pizza code.

4. If I have time after finishing everything else, tackle the dining room area. Currently it's a mountain of still packed totes & boxes from when we moved in.

I'm listening to Fernando Ortega!

Oooooh, that would have been a good choice. I actually put Peter, Paul, and Mary in because I hadn't heard them in years.

I did another load of laundry and made substantial progress on the kitchen. (The floor still needs attention).

Definitely time to sit for a few minutes.

Lunch

School

Sweep kitchen

Nap because I could NOT stay awake

Write

Fold clothes I washed yesterday (oops!)

Dinner

Give HS a bath and put him to bed

Goof around on the interwebs

Talk to James Bond (YAY!)

Short update:

Schoolroom is about 2/3 of the way done. Should finish it tonight.

DD is willingly doing small jobs like putting her toys back in her room, and picking up dirty dishes to take to the kitchen :) Big deal for her - that girl is allergic to work!

Dishes, laundry, and the dining room and still untouched. Well...at least I have the weekend!

Clean up the kitchen

Sort out our bedroom

Sort out boys bedroom

Get girls to work on their bedroom (although not to the standard I would have preferred, but it is semi done.

Get meat out for dinner

Vacuum entire house (well almost, not the spare room or the girls room but much more than has been done in awhile)

Mop floors

Clean bathroom

Clean laundry tub etc

DH got rid of some shrubs and trees around the section as well so all in all a productive day here. Yay. Hoping to get more done this week as DH is on holiday. Only really want to get the spare room completely sorted and just keep on top of things from here on in.

I did for a change Jean. Was great that DH was here, the kids helped him and weren't in my way so I could just get on with it. I did have the occasional questions and lunch to deal with but other than that was pretty free to carry on. My biggest issue is stopping so I tried not to stop and just keep going. I'm pretty sore now though, so just going to cook dinner and get the washing in. The kids can be on the dishes, I've done two lots of hand dishes today so it's their turn. DH is back pottering in the vege garden now, so I'm just leaving him to it.

I was too busy tackling Friday (actually tackled the whole week and have soreness to prove it) to see this post earlier today. I'm feeling quite proud of myself actually. :D

Today, I took the 6 year old to the doctor. Then I came home and nearly finished my school room declutter and reorganization. This involved moving four sets of shelves, which required removing everything from those shelves and then going through everything to put them back onto the shelves. I tossed a lot and rearranged a lot. I then vacuumed. I have two boxes to finish. I washed dishes twice, cleaned the counters, scrubbed the stove, and took out the trash. I also cleaned the living room windows inside and out.

Meanwhile, DD was assigned the job of picking up, dusting, and vacuuming the living room. Later, she watched the littles outside so they could play while I was inside working on the school room. DS cleaned both bathrooms, scooped litter boxes, and emptied the bathroom trash cans.

While all of that was going on, DH started pressuring washing the back deck. We are hoping he'll be able to finish it tomorrow, or it won't get done for who knows how long (the pressure washer has to go back to where it came from).

Earlier this week, DH and I pressure washed the porch, walkway, and driveway. Our driveway fits at least 7 cars, so it took part of three days to do. I also raked the landscaped areas of the yard and weeded one area. DS mowed the lawn this week for the first time this season. DH took the string trimmer to the backyard which is too uneven to mow.

Our neighbor was busy too. His older son finished pressure washing our roof and the roof of our shed for the home owner (a paid job). His younger son pressure washed the porch, walk, and driveway for a different neighbor. He pressure washed his own driveway and used the pressure washer to clean the whole street of the fir needles and mud from all of the pressure washing.

Our neighborhood is nice and clean now. :D
