Truscifi
In the past couple of months I have suddenly started having texture issues with food. Not all the time, and not consistently with the same foods. I'll be eating something that I like and have eaten plenty of times before, and all of a sudden the texture will just be unbearable. Today it was pizza. I had it last night for dinner, then warmed some up for lunch today. I ate the first piece with no problem, but after a few bites of the second piece it was suddenly just revolting. I almost threw up. A few times I *have* thrown up mid bite. :confused1: I've never had anything like this before.
Parrothead
I've had that happen recently with eggs. I wonder if it is another hormonal/age thing.
Flowing Brook
It does sound like a hormone problem to me. My mom and sister both have hormone problems and they both have this problem.
Truscifi
I hope not! :scared: I'll be 35 next month. I definitely don't want to start all the hormonal craziness this early!
Truscifi
It does sound like a hormone problem to me. My mom and sister both have hormone problems and they both have this problem. I'm trying to google and not having much luck. Does this have a name? What sort of hormone issues do your mom/sis have?
Flowing Brook
I don't really have a name for it. They both have low progesterone. Right before their periods they get migraines and can't eat certain foods because it either tastes off or it just won't go down. My sister has gone through this for about three years now and she has a lot of pregnancy symptoms and I keep teasing her that she has been pregnant the longest of any women I have ever known. Anyways, progesterone cream does seem to help. Also women's freedom tea from mountain rose herbs has really helped their hormone problems. Do you have any symptoms of hormone problems? My sis is 31. Truscifi
Not that I know of. I'm still nursing ds6mo, so I guess my hormones could still be off kilter. I do get migraines occasionally, but they don't seem to be tied to my cycle.
