Donna
Having a friend and her kids to visit next week and need a good recipe for lunch. They are dairy free and glutin free. I think nearly all my recipes have cheese or something in them that would not work. I was thinking soup since that would be easiest and require the least amount of prep time once they are here...can have it cooking and ready to go before they arrive. Thanks. regentrude
Make a veggie stew. Can be with or without meat. If they are dairy free, use olive oil instead of butter.
thescrappyhomeschooler
Chili? Chicken noodle soup with brown rice noodles (I make it that way, and my picky eaters eat it.).
kateincali
I love chili and it can be made simply!
Unicorn.
What regentrude suggested, or chicken tortilla soup! Cheese can be off to the side for those that aren't df. Here's the recipe I use. I omit the cilantro and hominy, and like to add a spoonful of salsa to the bowl! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-tortilla-soup-i/

dbmamaz
i make a ham and potato soup with just broth, no milk. if you cook half of the potatoes a really long time they break apart and make the soup a little thick.
Donna
Oh, chicken tortilla soup or chili....thanks! I wasn't thinking about tortillas. They don't have gluten, do they? Great! Parrothead- Thanks for that great list! I love trying new recipes and that's a great list to try from.
