Jean in Newcastle
Ok - let's do this. I'm on max. anti-inflammatories and I hope my left knee doesn't pop totally out, but I have to go work on the ILs moving again. Today's job - the kitchen. - take newspaper for glassware etc. - take gloves and possibly a hazmat suit for cleaning out the fridge. - take heavy duty construction garbage bags for stuff from the aforementioned fridge - take cooler for stuff from the freezer Kids will box stuff from the cabinets. I will tackle the fridge/freezer. Take one load to new house. Fridge/freezer stuff will have to be put away - if there is room. Depending on time - either go for another load or go back and just work on cleaning the kitchen because of commute times. Go to the bank? Perhaps on the way to the ILs old house. Call my mom and dad. Amira
Me! We moved into our new place last night and I'm halfway unpacked. Dh started his new job today. I've done three loads of laundry and am caught up from the homeless week. It's snowing today, but we at least need some milk so we'll head out on foot this afternoon to see what we can find. There's a huge underground mall here and I hope someone sells food. I like unpacking and settling in so much better than getting ready to go! And I have less stuff and more storage space here, so it's easy to clean up. We'll get a week's worth of school done starting tomorrow before the first visitors start arriving next week. Remudamom
I have to clean the frig out today. Got the pantry done Sat. The guys went to town for me on Sat. and got my list of groceries for the week. Had a big snow storm so right before I changed some outside chores around so they wouldn't be so tough this week. Laundry locked and loaded. Dd took my vacuum apart cleaned it thoroughly and I need to vacuum the whole house. Got dd off this morning back to school and her apartment for the week. Ds3 sent off to classes. Ds2 and dh will be in for their monster breakfast sometime before noon after feeding the cattle. Supper started. The only thing I have to go out and do is feed kitties. extendedforecast
I'm going to join in with you today. We had kids over all weekend, and the house is a little messier than usual, plus I didn't get most of my weekend stuff done because I was entertaining and being lazy. So far today I have: taken out recycling made breakfast for me and DD2 washed 1 load The next few things I plan to do are: fold and put away left over laundry that DD didn't get around to folding fold and put away the load that I started start another load of whites unload the dishwasher
Jean in Newcastle
4:20 check in: Bank - check! Call Mom and Dad - check! Go to IL's old house and go through the yucky fridge and freezer - check! Go through all the kitchen cabinets except for one - check! Go through the house and the garage freezer with SIL - check! Finally eat lunch - check! Take a load of kitchen stuff to IL's new place - check! Talk to MIL who was there and is back to her old feisty self - check! Make sure I mention that SIL ok'd the food etc. that was tossed away - double check! I am tired. My own house is a mess but I'm not going to deal with it.
