Not everything we do has to turn in to a lesson.

I mentioned before that my sis is a new teacher. When she calls she asks about my day and last week we colored eggs "what lesson plan do you use".....me "Um Paas" sis "well you know you could have blah blah blah blah blah" me " we colored Easter eggs for fun" sis " did you have her write a story about coloring eggs?" "No, dd had fun telling me her stories and singing while she decorated and colored her eggs, not everything has to be a lesson, we were making memories." same conversation 2 days later when we made Easter Baskets. I know she means well and eventually she'll get it, she has helped me find some really good websites for various subjects and I appreciate that. What questions or ideas have you encountered from well meaning friends and family?

I don't have any ideas, but I can at least commiserate with you! I have a friend who does that to me constantly... every time I mention something we did or are going to do for fun, she has to mention the great learning experiences we could be having. Sometimes, you just want to do something for the fun of it! I like to take the teacher hat off occasionally, too! ;)
