OnTheBrink
Dd would like to study 20th century history from a pop culture perspective. I'm having a hard time finding resources. Has anyone done history this way? What books or materials did you use? Amazon has a lot of books on pop culture, but I'm not sure which would be useful for this purpose. Any suggestions? SunnyDays
Well, this isn't exactly complete, nor is it entirely pop culture, but... I always thought it would be fun to do a history course based on "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel. Here's a doc I found that's along those lines: http://users.manchester.edu/Student/MLHall/We%20Didn%27t%20Start%20the%20Fire%20EXPLANATIONS.pdf
AuntPol
We did a course similar to this using these badges as jumping off points: Victorian Days Living in the 30's the 40's Fabulous Fifties Groovy Scouting Disco Diva Awesome 80's She read these series: Twentieth Century Fashion and Archie Americana and this book: Twentieth Century Pop Culture and a cookbook that I can't remember. And some of the lessons from here: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I'll look at each link further. Thanks again!
