PentecostalMom
I haven't seen one, though I could have easily missed it because this board moves so quickly! What are you using next year? Have you ordered already? Things still up in the air? Here's my planned line-up!  DD, 7 ("officially" 2nd grade) History/Geography: Sonlight Core C Math: Horizons Math (maybe 2, but if we go through 1 as quickly as I am thinking, I may have to move her up to 3) Handwriting: HWT, transition to cursive Bible: Kids in the Kingdom by Shirley Engelhardt Spelling: R&S Spelling (not sure which level we will be on, working on level 2 now) Science: Sonlight Science B Language Arts: SL LA 2 Art: Atelier  Dd also wants to work more on spanish. She was taking a class at a private school before we moved back to Florida, but that is not offered here. We have The Complete Book of Spanish, and I will add some DVD's, CD's. and other stuff. This is just extra, nothing super formal, maybe two days per week.  I am also thinking of looking into IEW materials. I plan to purhase the TWSS set used so I can look it over and see if it is something I am interested in pursuing.  Art, well, dd loves to draw, color, paint, etc., but mostly to draw. I do have several other miscellaneous art materials, including an assortment of how to draw books, a book from Barry Stebbing, and some Abeka art books. We will work on those whenever.  One more thing, I am seriously contemplating trying Scholaric. Dd loves lists and this looks just simple enough for us!  Dd, (will be four in November) Sonlight P3/4 She will tag along with big sis in all things. I will also have her some Kumon and R&S books. She loves having her own books! Thinking of getting Horizons for her to try, but not wanting to push. She will learn it all soon enough!  Littlest ds will continue to walk around being adorable, climbing everything, and interrupting. The new baby will be just that, a new baby!  What are your plans and what are you still considering?
2_girls_mommy
We have had them, usually broken down by grade over the last couple of months.. But I don't mind sharing. For my grammar stage students: Â DN (4) pre-K.... I don't really know yet. She is working through the R&S ABC workbooks, but I need to teach her to read this coming year. I have always just taught my kids w/out a program at this age, but I now have so much to do w/my older kids that I don't have as much time to spend w/her as I did with them on it. Plus she goes home at night, so I can't cuddle up at bedtime and read for hours w/her like I did mine. So I need something for short lessons, preplanned. I bought Teach Your Child to Read in 100 easy lessons, but I am not loving it as I preview it. Would love to get a copy of OPGTR to see if I like it better before purchasing... so still up in the air. Â DD 4th grade.. How is it possible my baby will be 4th grade??? Â R&S 4th grade math, spelling, English, spelling, penmanship SOTW 2 w/A.G. for reading, history, writing, geography, etc... Latina Christiana I Science: MP Astronomy w/ Arty Facts Space Science and Art book and other sources 1st semester and then WTM style Earth science 2nd semester w/Usborne Science Encyclopedia as spine. Bible: Finish MP Christian Studies I, move into 2 Nothing settled for art and music yet. I have lots of resources, just haven't planned a course of action. Â DD 6th grade: R&S 7th grade Math and Spelling, 6th grade English WTM logic stage history, middle ages w/KHE as spine, Geography Coloring book Classical House of Learning lit Middle ages 2nd Form Latin Spanish for Children A (continued from this year, hopefully will finish A next year.) Science: up in the air, roughly the same plan as above, using logic stage resources. Haven't really researched it yet. Art: thinking of learning to watercolor next year, but no definite plans. Bible, same as above Logic: Don't know yet. I need a planning day soon to figure some of this out!

MeaganS
We're officially starting Kindergarten! I joined this forum when my dd was 10 months old and now we're officially going to be homeschoolers. It should be an interesting year though, because dd4 is autistic and will be doing 35+ hours of therapy a week on top of her studies. We've been doing regular preK this year, and most of next year will be just building on that. Â Math: MM1, Miquon/Education Unboxed, Kitchen Table Math for more ideas Reading: continue OPGTR Handwiting: Finish HWT PreK and start HWT K and copywork. History: listen to SOTW Ancients over and over again. Also listen to other historically relevant children's audiobooks. Maybe start memorizing a timeline? Science: memorization focus and BFSU Memorization: poems, lists, and scriptures that I choose. Grammar: maybe FLL, although I haven't decided if we'll start it in the Fall or wait another year Writing: nothing. We're focusing on handwriting for now. Â Also, dd2, who should be 3 by then is wanting some schoolwork too. Hers is going to be purely optional. Â Math: Education Unboxed and MEP Reception Reading: Letter Factory, Logic of English iPad App, and possibly start OPGTR later in the year. Oh, and several other iPad phonics apps. Handwriting: random prewriting worksheets, coloring and other fine motor practice, and possibly HWT preK towards the end of the year

5LittleMonkeys
After much teeth mashing and hair pulling I have finally settled on our line-up. There are only a few details yet to iron out.  Dd15-10th grade - Math- Alg II with Trig MUS Geometry Language- Visual Link Spanish, Destinos and DuoLingo (The last two are supplements we'll add if time permits.) Science- Apologia Chemistry with labs at a tutorial. She'll also do a 12 week Bio-Ethics course. History- The first half of Spielvogel's Western Civ. (Comprehensive volume) English- TextWord Press Trailblazer Level to correspond with time periods in addition to some novels from Excellence in Lit. that match the time periods as well. Highschool Essay Intensive from IEW. (possibly) Health- This is one of those details that needs ironing...she only needs 1/2 credit. P.E.- I'll award her 1/2 credit for this. She has an exercise routine she does daily in addition to walking/jogging with her dog. She does horse riding in the warm months.  Dd14-8th grade Math- Finishing up MUS Zeta and moving to Pre-algebra. We'll supplement with Khan and depending on how she does I will beef things up with Chalkdust. Language- Irasshai Japanese Science- Apologia General Science with labs at a tutorial. History- Notgrass America the Beautiful Literature- LLAtL Gold along with some novels from EiL Introduction to Lit. English- AG Season 3, MP Book of Roots Art- Intro to Formal Art and Art History at tutorial in addition to honing her skills at home. 6 week Manga course from Manga University. (I suspect she's beyond the instruction.) May or may not do co-op.  Dd10-5th grade Math- MM 5 Language- First Form Latin Science- Elemental Science Chemistry History- SOTW Middle Ages with AG and Literature list from BF's Intermediate Middle Ages. Geog.- BF's Geography Literature- Mosdos Coral Spelling- R&S Spelling 5 Writing- Complete Paragraph Writing Made Easy then start WWS I. Art- Various projects and artists as they strike my fancy. Govt./Civics might get added in if there is time for it...but I will probably have her do this "off school hours" since I think she will have a blast with it. How to Build Your Own Country. She'll have 3 co-op classes too, but I'm not sure what they will be...mostly enrichment though. Soccer  Ds6-2nd Grade Math- MM 2 Science- Elemental Science Chemistry History- SOTW Middle Ages with AG and read alouds chosen from the lit dd10 will be reading. Geog.- Learning US states with online games, puzzles and maps. Phonics- ETC, and PP/RP Reading- Whatever I can find that he can read. Writing- WWE 2 Art- Various projects and artists. He might tag along with dd10 as she builds her own country...maybe he can build a small one too. 3 classes at co-op...not sure what yet. Soccer  Dd4-PreK A purchased program would be an unecessary expense for her. We just do lots and lots of counting, number recognition, matching, pattern making, greater and less than concepts, adding and subtracting using manipulatives, cheap workbooks, iPad apps, and during every day activities.  Same for early phonics...flashcards, games, workbooks, apps...we are cementing letter recognition then will move onto consonant sounds after that.  She is close by for read alouds and dd10 and ds6 "play" school, with her often.  She also works on A LOT of fine motor skills with cutting, pasting, coloring, painting, sculpting, breaking, bending, mangling, twisting, contorting, and generally rendering unrecognizable anything that she thinks needs her magic touch. :)    Oh my, that looks really scary all typed out in one place like that. I've written them out individually but not together. Y'all have fun with this thread while I go hyperventilate. :p

I would be more than happy to cut it in half, and I expect I will for my next child, but he enjoys it and it keeps him happy. Honestly, it doesn't take very long. Aurelia
Our years are kind of fluid, since we school year-round, but this is what I expect we will be working on sometime around Octoberish.  DD9: Math: CLE, finish 400, move to 500 English: Apples & Pears (finish B, move to C) Further Up and Further In (as literature study, not using history or science) finish MCT Island extra books to go with FUFI and SOTW, some read aloud, some as readers History: SOTW 2 w/AG Science: finish WP Equine Science Foreign Language: La Clase Divertida 2, GSWL/Minimus Other: Classical Conversations (co-op with another family), Faber Piano Adventures, Girl Scouts, tumbling, horseback riding  Still trying to decide if I want to do a formal writing program. She's finishing WWE3 this year, I don't want to do WWE4 and I don't think she'll be ready for WWS. Maybe IEW SWI or Fables, Myths and Fairytales. Maybe something else. Maybe FUFI will be enough.
