Party games for 13yo girls?

DD has her friend birthday party tomorrow. She's turning 13. There are 7 girls attending. It's being held at an ice skating rink. The girls will be skating for an hour and a half, then we'll have a party room for an hour. We'll be having pizza and cake and she'll open her gifts. I don't think this will take an hour and I'm looking for ideas on a fun game or two. I was thinking of a getting to know you type game as there will be a mix of homeschoolers and public schooled girls. Everyone knows my dd (of course!) and at least one other attendee, but they don't all know each other. Any thoughts as to what we could do if we need to fill some time? TIA!

When my girls were that age, we played a pencil and paper game a lot that was really fun. The first person would write a phrase about anything, such as "flying to the moon" or "digging up a treasure" -- whatever. Perhaps you could provide that first phrase. You would write it down on paper, and give it to the next person. The next person would look at it, and draw a picture that represents it. She would pass her picture (making sure no one else could see) to the next person. The next person would have to describe the picture in a written phrase. She would write it down on a paper, and give it to the next person. The next person would look at the phrase, and have to draw a picture that she feels depicts the phrase. She would send the picture to the next person. The next person would look at the picture, and write a phrase about it. She would send that phrase to the next person, who would draw a picture depicting the phrase. So on and so on, alternating between the picture and the phrase At the end, you would compare the final picture or phrase to the first one. It is usually quite hilarious, or sometimes incredibly close! Either way, it's a really fun game. :) You can have each person write or draw on a separate piece of paper, or you can use the same paper, but write the initial phrase on top, and keep folding it over as you pass it, so that only the most recent addition was seen.
