mo2
I'm looking for cheap, easy, and preferably non-messy art projects that a bunch of girls ages 8-13 can do at a birthday party. Any ideas?

three4me
We did pipe cleaner animals for my DD's 5th birthday earlier this month. It went well but would have been much better with kids a little older. Most of the kids needed LOTS of help! But with an 8-11 year old set I think it'd be perfect! We have a pipe cleaner book, but I'm sure you can find ideas online. We did butterflies and caterpillars mostly.
BrookValley.
Michael's has a zillion crafty kits out right now (ok, well I guess they usually do!), many spring or Easter themed, but not all...they had some cute picture frame kits that were made out of those foam sheets and stickers. Easy, cheap, and not a whole lot of mess other than the sticker backing paper and any little punch-outs that may result. They looked about right for the age range you're having. Bonus if you have a decent printer at home and could take a group photo at the party and make each girl a copy to put in her frame.
antsam
Beaded bookmarks (search book thongs) are very cute and useful. Have fun! Jodie
saraha
One of my girls had the girls at her party make their own placemats. We cut clear contact paper to placemat size, printed everyones name in pretty purple script off of Word and cut out. Then I put out all of the art scraps I had. Ribbon, glitter, sequins, stickers, clipart etc. Then when they were done, we laid another piece of contact paper overtop and trimmed around the edges. Two girls still use their placemats, we saw them at their house on visits.
