lea_lpz
Ok, I've actually posted about this for before, but I've been exploring online some blogs on families who used prarie primer to get a feel for what I'd be getting myself into if we did Prarie Primer for 3rd grade. If you have a blog or know of a good blog, please paste the link. Also, if you have used it yourself, can you share your experiences? What was the best part? How much prep did it take you? How much time did you spend on it as your core? What was the most challenging part or what was difficult? Did you have boys doing it? What were their favorite parts? We'd probably do it for a 3rd grade girl and a 1st grade boy tagging along for the fun stuff. I would ike to do the books as read alouds. By the way, my dd is in going to start 1st in early June, so we still have another 2 years to go before I do it. Thanks :)

thowell
http://welovetheprairieprimer.blogspot.com/ This is the one I referred to the most. We did this over the last 2 years. It was a great time and not much planning time involved. I spent about an hour checking for books at library, made a list and then picked them all up. I always checked out enough for the next 2 weeks so I didn't have to make several trips. Any specific questions you have?
