mlktwins
For foot pain -- mostly my archilles tendon, but the arch and around my ankle ache too. My archilles tendon is really sore in the morning and when I go down the stairs. I don't remember injuring my self, but it's been about 3 months and it's not getting better. It does help when I wrap it. If I go to a GP, I will be going to the new one that replaced my favorite Dr. of 30+ years. I went to an orthopedist in January for my shoulder and I thought he was good. Any suggestions? Thanks much!
Woodhaven
I'd see a podiatrist since it is a foot problem, not a GP. Sounds painful! Hope it goes away quickly!!
magnificent_baby
I was going to suggest podiatrist, but when you mention achilles tendon, I would think an orthopedic might be your best bet. It can take awhile to get in to specialists, so I would call ASAP. I would also ask for one that specializes in feet/achilles. In the meantime, please take it easy on your foot. If you rupture your achilles tendon, that is very painful with a very long recovery time. No jumping around (not that you would do that anyway if it's painful already). Good luck! Wendi
I think you could see either a podiatrist or orthopedist for this. Since you like your orthopedist well enough, maybe call there and make an appointment. I went to a podiatrist for my Achilles tendonitis. I ended up taking high doses of ibuprofen for awhile, resting it as much as possible, and wearing little lift/cushion things in my shoes. I have now been problem-free for quite some time. I am careful when doing activities that put stress on that area, but so far, so good.
