BakersDozen
We are viewing The Greatest Paintings course and really enjoying it, yet I need ideas for a final report the dc could do. I already have them attending an art museum/exhibition, interviewing a professional artist, and reading 3-4 novels focusing on a particular artist (historical fiction). Since all 3 of my oldest need a research paper for their final assignment, I thought it would round out the Art History class well. Ideas, though, elude me, for while I enjoy art history I do not have enough background or understanding to come up with suitable topics for a final paper. Thanks! StinkyDaddy
When I was in art school we had a lot of compare and contrast essay questions. For example, compare and contrast the sculptures of David by Donatello and Michelangelo. You could change that model around to fit whatever your kids are working on. We even use it for music. I had my ds do a c&c of the blues song "Rolling and Tumbling" from Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and a progression of other musicians thru the years.
