I have one of those critters. I don't make summer reading lists, but ds will be reading Tales from Ancient Egypt, Nordic Gods and Heroes, rereading Bulfinch's mythology, and any other mythology collections he can get his hands on. He'd be doing this regardless of what history he was rolling into though. It's his favorite part of history hands down.
