hollyh
My dd is frustrated by her Bible because she wants to be able to find stories that will specifically help her in a practical way. Something along the lines of if she is struggling with obedience- a list of passages that she can turn to that will guide her. Any ideas on where to start or any resources for her? She's pretty young, but a fluent reader.
besroma
For Instruction in Righteousness by Pam Forster, though written for the parent to use for the child, could work because it is organized topically.
Carolinagirl1
How about the Child Training Bible? http://www.childtrainingbible.com/ ETA: This is a project I have been working on with my children. You highlight and tab scriptures that relate to various characteristics such as obedience, anger, stealing, quarreling, pride, fear, etc...so that when you are finished, you have a bible that is tabbed so that you can turn to the exact scriptures based on the behavior. weederberries
The first place to start is in the concordance in the back of the Bible. It's a good exercise in looking up any topic, finding all the verses, reading and deciding whether the verse applies to the context you are looking for. A friend of mine wrote this book, which has been a helpful research/teaching tool for us.

I showed this to my husband and he and I decided we definitely need this resource. Such an ingenious idea!!!
