FriedClams
I walk a ton and love it - so I'm not looking for hardcore yoga or a strength workout. I'm thinking stretching and flexibility. I'm 6' and have never been flexible - and I can see where that isn't a great thing for my health in the future. Id like to do something short a couple times a day. Any recommendations? Amazon prime is calling my name! LOL

Catwoman
Have you tried Classical Stretch? Your local public television may air it (usually VERY early in the morning!) or you can order DVDs. The thing is, the DVDs are relatively expensive, so it would be good if you could view clips or sample episodes.
gardenmom5
almost any yoga dvd for inflexible people or very gentle yoga. as you read through the descriptions, one that is aimed at older or arthritic people will be more gentle. there is a huge difference among yoga dvd's. beginning yoga dvd's are frequently aimed at people who are already physically fit. many will have stretches that are no more than 10 - 20 minutes. Lady Florida.
This DVD is simply stretches. I use it when I don't have a lot of time but want to at least do some stretching. I also like AM & PM Yoga. There aren't a lot of positions that an inflexible person would have trouble with. Neither one is a "get in shape" kind of dvd, but both help with flexibility. Catwoman
I vote for Classical Stretch season 8 DVD. It's worth the money, especially as one gets older and "tighter". :iagree: Season 4 is very good, too, as it's a bit slower paced and has a lot of instruction. NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
I don't have a recommendation, but I think flexibility is also in part genetic. I am super out of shape and I can still touch my toes with my legs straight. I always could. I've always been naturally flexible. Same here. When I started yoga, my instructor noticed my flexibility and kept trying to find a pose that I couldn't do. She just shook her head.... I still love yoga. emcap
I will second the recommendation of am & pm stretch with Madeleine Lewis. I love it, esp. the bonus power stretch. I love how I feel when stretching regularly. It's been a while, I need to get back into it!
FriedClams
Thank y'all. I agree with the genetics. My sister and I are equally appalling in our inflexibility. I'm off to amazon and I'll report back!
carriewillard
http://www.alignedandwell.com/katysays - this is her blog, and she sells DVDs. Best site I ever subbed to, health-wise
