Bible Study Guide for All Ages - Primary Pages

Anyone using the primary pages this year? My son did the beginner pages this year in Pre-K, and I'm trying to decide whether to move into the primary pages for next year, or stay with beginner. I love that it connects the timeline, but I'm adding up what I need to buy and it will be over $140. Want to make sure it's worth it before I take the leap. Any feedback would be great -- how long does it take for you to do a lesson, what are the ages of your kids that are using them, etc. Thanks!

The primary pages are a new thing. The old way was to go from Beginner pages to Intermediate pages. If I were in your shoes (which I kind of am because I have a k'er coming up through the program), I would keep my child in the Beginner pages for Pre-K through most (if not all) of first grade, then move to the intermediate pages in 2nd.

We have not used the primary (they don't have them for the year we are on), but I just wanted to say beginner pages for K are still great. In fact we used the beginner pages for pre K and first last year and tried to move dd up to intermediate this year but having them separate was too much. So, my dd in 2nd is doing the beginner pages this year and they love it still. In fact, dd missed the coloring when she was doing the intermediate pages.

I put my 1st grader in Intermediate. I wish I hadn't. She missed the coloring pages and some of the intermediate things are hard for her. I'm putting her back in beginner next year so she can be with her sibs and have the same pages. But I will be reading the summary on the pages and the actual bible passages to beef it up for her. We might try intermediate for 3rd. I liked the simplicity of the beginner pages and we had great retention. I refuse to buy primary pages because it is so expensive and looks overly complicated. I'm going to simplify next year!

We really love the program. I'm using it with ages 7, 5, and 3. The stuff they remember is awesome and it's easy to use. My kids prefer doing the same level pages together. We have the pages, beginner timeline, and CD.

The intermediate pages are great but were overwhelming for us at this point.

I bought this used last week as well, but haven't received it yet, can this be used with older kids as well? My ages are 5, 10, 17,which student pages would each of my kids use? Thanks

I'm listening to this too - our kids are 12, 11, 9 - I've looked at this program several times but wasn't sure which pages we needed.

Also, can anyone tell me how long it takes to complete a lesson (daily)?

Can't quote on my phone, but if I had a 5, 10, 17 I would either just use the TM or use the TM for your 17, intermediate for the 10, and beginner for 5. You can do the bible reading together as well as review and timeline the. Have them split up to do student pages.

For 12, 11, and 9 I would either pick intermediate or advanced for all or place them in two groups-- do Bible reading, memory work, review, and timeline together then split up for student pages.

We spend about 30 minutes a day on Bible including review, timeline, student pages, and extra Bible memory work.
