throughpagesandfields
Does anyone have any recommendations for these? I don't want an intense curriculum kind of thing - just as many ways to expose him to language as possible. I have a copy of Rosetta Stone I could use I think... and I believe I heard of a public television Sesame Street kind of thing online I could probably google - but have any of you done this? thanks. :) ETA: I tried searching for a thread thinking there'd be one somewhere - feel free to linky me if it's easier. thanks! morgan
My daughter was in a Spanish immersion preschool and so we tried several things to reenforce Spanish at home (we aren't fluent). Plazo Sesamo is the Spanish Sesame Street and it's really good, my daughter enjoys it even though she dislikes the regular version. Calico Spanish looks good for prek/k, but it's really spendy so we just subscribe to their youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/kidsimmersion?feature=g-high-u

carriede
Sometimes we'll get a simple bilingual book from the library about opposites or colors, that sort of thing. Then we just read it over and over and I'll ask DS questions as we go about our day. Like, "What color crayon is that? How do you say that in Spanish?" lea_lpz
I'm using La Clase Divertida for my 5 & 3 year old. They enjoy it. We don't do the workbook, just the crafts and cooking and watch the DVDs and listen to the music in the car. We also get bilingual story books to read and will sometimes watch Spanish salsa to reinforce what lesson vocab we've learned in the lesson we're on. I may repeat vol 1-3 again when they are older, using the workbook for 3-5. The program is very friendly for young kids :)
Mama Geek
They aren't all over the place but if you can find a Lango program, that does Spanish it is fun.

ByGrace3
Check my siggy. I have tons of games based on the First Thousand Words book. It is a great introduction to the language for young ones.
Pastor's Wife
I just watched some Salsa Spanish videos on the iPad with my little ones. They loved it! Available for free at the GPB (Ga Public Broadcasting) website!
Chelli
I am currently making worksheets to go with the Salsa episodes. There are free lesson plans available from the Wyoming Education Department here. The lesson plans recommend spending two weeks on each episode with different activities twice a week, so four total lessons per episode. They also recommend using the program for the second semester of Kindergarten through 2nd grade. I am following this pattern when doing my worksheets so that they coordinate with the Wyoming lesson plans. I'm about halfway through the first year right now, but am making worksheets for Beginner (non-readers, no writing) and Regular (readers, minimal writing). Once I get all of the first year finished I will post those on my blog, then start the next set. I've been using both sets of worksheets with my girls so that they can do Spanish together. It's been working very, very well!

Smiles
I was wondering if any of you have used Song school Spanish, if so did you like it and what age did you use it with?
LolaT
I was wondering if any of you have used Song school Spanish, if so did you like it and what age did you use it with? I'm using with both kids, 5 and 8. It's super easy for the eight year old but she likes doing it anyway because it's easy and she gets to hear songs and cut stuff up. I would say it's perfect for K-2nd grade. It won't teach them a ton of stuff but it's a fun, easy intro.

lea_lpz
I haven't seen song school Spanish but have heard about on this board. Because we already did La Clase Divertida level one, we'll likely continue, but might take a peak at it....anyone got a link?
