kfeusse
If you have used any of these what is your opinion of them. I am specifically looking at the grades 4-6 ones...and in History we have just started SOTW 3... my kids are dd 12, ds 11 and ds 8....my oldest one loves crafty stuff...so I am thinking she might like it even though she is on the upper end of the age range. thoughts?? mumto2
We had a few of these books. Crafty dd liked them and ds tolerated. Make sure you scedule them or you will forget to them. We did. Sorry not a better answer. I wanted you to have an answer and that is all I remember.
weederberries
We used them and enjoyed! It was American history stuff, but I can't remember the specific activities. They were labeled too old for my kids, so I modified a lot of the things. We kinda turned it into a lapbook. I recommend them and will revisit them in a month or two as we come back around to that part of history.
mommymonster
We are currently using the American Revolution pockets (this one: http://www.amazon.com/History-Pockets-Evan-Moor-Educational-Publishers/dp/1596732601) for my son, who LOVES the Revolutionary War. We are really enjoying the projects, and they are challenging for him (he's seven). It is nice for him to have something to show Grandma and the aunties, as I'm not otherwise a "crafty" sort of homeschool parent. It also helps him to focus his thoughts on an event. We are taking a very leisurely walk through the Revolutionary War (about eight weeks), and this has been a really useful resource.

swellmomma
We used the explorers ones, and now finishing off the native americans. Next we are going to do aesop's fable and nonfiction. Then back to history with moving west. The kids enjoy them. The teens even do them and then we add in other material to make it grade level for them. thebacabunch
My kiddo who doesn't enjoy reading but learns best kinesthetically really benefits from them. She will read the stories no problem because it is all part of a project.
