Anyone else condensing TOG Y4, U3-U4?

We took extra time to complete Y2, I have no regrets. I am planning to start Y1 in the fall and am planning to condense U3-U4. These units cover 12 chapters in SOTW so I am thinking on combining down to 12 weeks for everyone. I don't think that my D student will have any problems with the reading. We are actually thinking of ditching The Idiot's Guide to World History and using the books in the new update that is supposed to be out anytime now. I ordered the new spine on amazon today.

Is anyone else condensing TOG Y4, U3-U4? If so, what are your plans?

We are going to be doing Year 4 next year, and I was wondering why you want to condense those units? Is it just to make for the extra time you spent on Year 2?

I wish to make up the time is one reason.

The second is that things get much more confusing when discussing current history and you have much more bias. The main study is the middle east, a topic that even I have trouble keeping straight and rationalizing. I have no trouble waiting until R for some of this.

The third reason is that in LG and UG, U4 is set up to study more topics and people we cover in science, such as space exploration, computers, and the web.

Are you skipping year 3? I will look over tog 4 again. I don't have any R studnts right now either. Let me look thru unit 3 and 4 again.

We did all of Y3, finishing at the very beginning of this school year. We are at Y4U3 now, combining weeks 19 and 20 this week. My D student has already done the literature selection so she is doing something else. LG will do week 19's, the UG is doing something from SL.

Something similar will happen next week. My D student has already done the literature for weeks 21 and 22 so I'll pull from SL, and the core history is only about 40 pages for two weeks. I ordered the new spine for D so we might change to that too.
