mama25angels
I have the Brother 2270 DW and i'm trying to print out a book. I would like to use duplex printing, but it keeps printing it upside down on one side, will I have to do a manual duplex printing to keep it from doing this? Thanks
momtoamiracle
you have to change the duplex setting. I think it's the top button. It will have a little image of how it will be printed.

boscopup
Is the book portrait or landscape mode? I usually do "duplex", not "booklet", though I think when printing I See Sam readers, I had to do "booklet". Most of the time, I'm printing a regular old set of portrait oriented pages from a PDF or Word doc, and I just select "duplex" in the printer properties dialog (and while I'm at it, I hit the "Advanced" tab on that screen and select "Toner save mode" so I get more pages out of my toner :D ). After you select "duplex", click the "duplex settings" button underneath that and make sure it has the first option checked - "long edge (left)" for portrait. The other options might cause your pages to get flipped. I don't think I've printed duplex in landscape mode, so I don't know if that setting needs to change there. You do NOT have to do manual duplex. Part of the beauty of this printer is that it prints one side, then sucks it back in and prints the other side. ;)

lailasmum
The problem could be the pdf viewer. There was a version of acrobat late last year that updated some print options and that did wierd things if you selected double sided printing in the acrobat print software and in your printer sofware. It works fine if you deselect double side print in the acrobat print dialogue and just use the print software for you printer. It was doing stuff like getting the second page upside down because It seemed to be conflicting the order of pages.
