Guest
Are there any good versions out there? I really like the fairy tales/art style of K.Y. Craft as opposed to the older, pencil drawings.

momto2Cs
There's the Original Illustrated version, but we like this one illustrated by Micheal Hague (the "look inside on this link goes to another version unfortunately).
SarahW
It's not quite the style you're looking for, but this one http://www.amazon.com/Alices-Adventures-Wonderland-Austin-Dobson/dp/0670112771/ref=sr_1_21?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1362083860&sr=1-21&keywords=Arthur+Rackham with the Arthur Rackham illustrations is a classic. Pretty, but a bit.....eh.
Laura Corin
I love the ones by Helen Oxenbury, but it may not be what you are looking for. Laura
Kathleen in LV
I love the ones by Helen Oxenbury, but it may not be what you are looking for. Laura We read this version as well. (We got it from the library. And there is an Oxenbury version of Alice Through the Looking Glass too.) My 6 yo son really enjoyed the illustrations. They aren't "beautiful", but colorful and fun. FromA2Z
All of Robert Ingpen's books are beautiful but probably do not have the "lushness" you are looking for. Ps there are a lot of illustrations in the book...practically every page. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1402768354/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1362086647&sr=8-12&pi=SL75
Guest
I love the ones by Helen Oxenbury, but it may not be what you are looking for. Laura It's not quite the art I was looking for, but I have a special place in my heart for Helen Oxenbury because my daughter loved Going on a Bear Hunt illustrated by her SO much. I will probably pick up that one! Some other good ones, too. Thanks!
Chelli
I love the ones by Helen Oxenbury, but it may not be what you are looking for. Laura That's the one we have and love. It's very fun and kid friendly.

Guest
We love this one. I got this in the mail today and like it a lot. :) The Helen Oxenbury one looks like it is OOP here in the states? Anyone know where I can order it here? I haven't ordered from amazon.uk before...I love this book and would totally own a couple different illustrated versions of it. You could order it from bookdepository.co.uk - they have free shipping to the US. I just checked though, and they don't have stocks of Alice in Wonderland at present. Perhaps try again in a few weeks? Laura
stripe
I love the ones by Helen Oxenbury, but it may not be what you are looking for. Laura I love them too. They give it a "younger" feel that made them extremely appealing to my daughter. She adores Alice. I bought Alice in Wonderland used, but Alice Through the Looking Glass was still in print when I bought it. Wait, it still is: http://www.amazon.co.../dp/0763642622/ You can get on Book Depository's list so they email you if it comes back in stock, but I wonder if it's OOP. It was OOP when I bought it in March of 2012, so that sounds ominous. The ISBN for the paperback is 0763620491. It's OOP at Amazon.co.uk as well, as far as I can see.
