mom2boys030507 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Next year, I will have a 1st grader, 3rd grader and 5th grader. I am thinking about doing things very differently. We will have been through the history cycle once. Science has never been a strong suit, yet with the help of co-op we have done plenty. My boys are asking for more experiments and more projects. I am not looking at purchasing a full curriculum. I am hoping to do a wide range of topics. I have looked at working on Cub Scout Belt Loops and Pins. Also, working on the Cub Scout Nova Awards. Picking a topic to have them create a diorama or other project of their choosing. I plan to have the read, write and present. I have the book Project Based Homeschooling and would really like to figure out how to implement this. Yet, my boys don't get that means they need to be the ones asking the questions not me :) Some of the things that we will do no matter what: All: Math - Singapore, LOF, and Beast for my middle Grammar - R&S Literature - read many good books using the 1000 good books list Younger Two: Greek Middle: Scratch Programming - possibly move into Lego Wedo Oldest: NaNoWriMo and Creative Writer Quote
