Did anyone else see the interview with Jennifer Lawrence, when she was interrupted by Jack Nicholson?

After the Oscars the other night? I have been laughing over and over again since yesterday whenever I watch it. Lawrence is being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos after winning the Best Actress Oscar and Nicholson comes up to say hi. Their repartee, and her reaction, is hilarious.

I love this. I really like her, I hope Hollyweird doesn't mess her up.

All I could think was that Jack Nicholson is NOT to be trusted around 22-year-old girls!

(I was very impressed with her in The Hunger Games although I didn't like her in X-Men First Class. Will give her a second chance in X-Men Days of Future Past and hope to learn I was mistaken the first time around.)

Has anyone seen WInter's Bone? She was nominated for that, and it was her first major role.

I haven't seen it but my mom raved about it. She also raved about Silver Linings Playbook. When I told her it was the same actress her jaw dropped. She didn't believe me at first.

I did see Winter's Bone.

It was about a tough poor girl living Appalachia, she takes care of her family, can shoot, skins squirrels, has an absent father, useless mother, she has a mentor with addiction issues (meth) ....sounding familiar?

It is easy to see her as Katniss, she had already played the part. The similarities between the two characters is striking. However unlike Hunger Games, Winter's Bone is NOT for kids. It is very violent and gruesome, more so than HG.

Winter's Bone was fabulous. Small correction: the movie does not play in Appalachia, but rather in the Missouri Ozarks, close to the Arkansas border. It is after a book which is great as well. (the authors lives in that area)
