Need advice on finding the right formula

Okay, I need some advice. We just had a baby on Feb. 2nd. We've never formula-fed any of our kids, and would be breastfeeding this one if it had been at all possible. But we started our newborn on regular Enfamil. It seemed to give him a stomach ache and he was really fussy. We changed to Gentlease at about 2 weeks, but now he is having a bowel movement (not super runny, but not super solid) every couple of hours and it is giving him a horrible diaper rash. He also still seems fussy and gassy, but not in pain. He's now almost 4 weeks old. Is there a formula that you've used and really liked? What are our other options? I feel a little lost in this department. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had to stop breastfeeding b/c I have pcos and it affectedy supply, so it is just aboit done here at 3.5 months.... Anyways, we tried the Enfamil too (free samples) and it made the baby gassy... I read Amazon reviews on formula and switched to Gerber Good Start Gentle, unlile other formulas, it's made feom whey protein which is easier to digest than the milk. And it's not full of extra sugars, so far he's doing very well with it :)

Alimentum RTF is what I used for my allergy babies. Nutramigen is another option. If those don't work, then you may need a prescription formula called Neocate. But even my super-allergy baby was able to use Alimentum so we were fortunate.

ETA: I never tried the soy formulas because my first was allergic to soy. But trying a soy-based might be a step to take between stopping the dairy based and going to Alimentum.
