Rasa
Does anybody know what the difference between Rummy Roots and More Roots is? Based on my reading, Rummy Roots and More Roots games contain 42 Greek and Latin roots. Do roots in Rummy Roots and More Roots overlap? Which game do you like more? Many thanks in advance. blessed3x
:bigear: We have Rummy Roots but have not used it yet. I am listening to this thread.
Rasa
Here is a response I received from Eternal Hearts, the publishing company: There is not much difference other than More Roots and Rummy Roots have different root words. They are played the same with all the levels.
persephone43
From my understanding More Roots has what it says...more roots. So you can just add them to the first set. I will be purchasing both soon. Looks like a fun intro...hoping ds thinks so ;)
mom4sons
Does anyone recommend these?
Staceyshoe
We play both Rummy Roots and More Roots. My son requests to play and loves it. He is able to apply what he's learning as he encounters new vocabulary words also. It's a great way to learn roots. There is *some* overlap in the games. Because the roots are eventually combined to make new words that contain 2-3 roots, some of the more common roots from Rummy Roots are also included in More Roots. This makes the game more playable and practical. But if you are expecting a complete set of unique roots in More Roots (as the publisher seemed to indicate), it may be a surprise. HS Mom in NC
We found a little overlap. We use them as a memory game right now, not the way the game is recommended because she hasn't mastered them yet. I think they're worth it. fourisenough
We have the first set and enjoy playing it when we have free time. It is a great way to sneak in learning during game time.
