tld
We're almost done with MUS Primer. The one area that it doesn't cover that the public schools here cover in K is basic money stuff. Does anyone have a recommendation for a book that would teach a kindergartner the basics of money?
Arcadia
I just use real coins. For Kindergarten, the public school only covered how to recognize a penny, nickel, dime and quarter.
boscopup
I have a box of coins that the kids can play with whenever. They learn pretty easily that way.
momtoamiracle
Our kindy math didn't do money either. We started it in first grade with math mammoth. It was just as well because we had covered repeated addition already so it made it easy for him to count the money with no problem. I think for kindy just going over the coins and their value is sufficient. I like the way math mammoth presents it incrementally.
