Jean in Newcastle
Seize the weekend! Or the mop and broom. Whichever fits your needs best. Today I'm tackling the weekend by leaving my messy house and mountain of dirty laundry and am going to a wedding.
nmoira
Doing a general cleanup for a party tomorrow (DH is helping). Laundry, 1 load plus sheets. Finish up two school items outstanding for the week, WWE for DD the Younger, a little Number Theory for DD the Elder. This is by negotiation, as we usually don't do school on the weekend. Caramelize six pounds of onions. Try not to drool. Start to season my brand spanking new carbon steel fry pan. Going to pick up the lard after breakfast. joannqn
I don't want to tackle Saturday. But Saturdays mean breakfast, menu planning if I haven't done it yet (I haven't), creating my shopping list, going shopping, putting food away, cleaning the house before youth group arrives tomorrow, and cooking dinner. I just want to have a weekend off...

shanvan
I got a shower. Does that count? I will be tackling some lesson plans and grading. Other than that I'm mostly hanging out and taking the day as it comes.
Faithr
I finally feel better. I was sick all week. Today I cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher which hadn't been done yesterday. I planned meals for our gluten/casein free diet and then went shopping. I cleaned out the fridge and freezer. I just started the crockpot for dinner. Now I plan to put on some laundry, spend a solid hour tidying, dusting, scrubbing whatever needs it the most! At 4:00 I am going to have coffee with a girlfriend I haven't seen in months and have missed a lot. So that makes me happy. :) After dinner (planning for 7 p.m.) we have some schoolwork to catch up on so we'll have a cozy Saturday night of Algebra and composition! Ain't we a barrel of fun! LOL! Ain't we a barrel of fun! LOL! Well, that's how I'd be spending my evening (except with geometry and biology) but Dh agreed to Ds spending the day with his cousin. So, I'm putting it off until tomorrow.
joannqn
I showered and dressed, made my menu plan for the week, created my shopping list, went to Costco and the grocery store, and now I'm cleaning the inside of the fridge (tossing stuff and wiping it down) as I put groceries away. AK_Mom4
I skied all morning and it was wonderful. Afterwards DD11 and I came home and cleaned the kitchen, laundry room, and dining room while DS17 did all the vacumning. Then I had to ruin the day by dyeing my hair an unfortunate shade of orange (think new copper penny). So I will be spending the evening removing the dye and replacing it with a (hopefully) less shocking shade.

shanvan
I'm exhausted but I'm back from my friend's wedding. It was very nice. I'm glad it worked out. Sounds like you used a lot of 'spoons'. Hope you have a very restful evening.

I am already in my fluffy bathrobe and it is only 6 o'clock. Dh asked me why I don't go to sleep but I'm too tired to sleep. (That makes sense. Trust me.) Ds15 tackled the kitchen for me this morning. Dh seems to be tackling the laundry for me. Which has me very surprised - and thankful. Dd is out with a friend. nmoira
For everything done, except only four pounds of onion. My Dutch oven was to small for more.
