Remudamom
I never paid attention to my a1c before. It's 6.something. I think my doctor tends to overreact. He even says no rum. Is over 6 really that bad?
wapiti
AFAIK, over 6 is definitely not good. But, I don't know any more than that.
Mrs Mungo
D'oh, clearly too much debate team lately. I read this as 1AC.
AngieW in Texas
Between 5.7 and 6.4 you have an increased risk of diabetes. Higher than that indicates that you have diabetes. My dd's a1c was 5.4 and that has me concerned. We did the a1c test because her fasting blood sugar was in the prediabetes range. I'd definitely be researching with an a1c of 6.
