Amanda82
As I'm working on gathering our list of curricula for next year I'm lost as to what history to do. I prefer to have something I can have my soon to be 2nd and 4th grade girls do together. This year they are doing Elemental History - Adventures in America. What has been you or your child's favorite history program?
Amanda82
Anyone?
elizabeth rose
Hi, we are using Winterpromise American Story 1 and plan to do 2 next year. I like it, but it is a lot of reading outloud. I'm using it with a 2nd and 4th grader.

kristi26
We are going to use Simply Charlotte Mason's module 5 in the fall with an 8th grader, 5th grader, and 2nd grader. We've followed VERY loosely and supplemented a lot with SOTW2 in module 4 this year. www.simplycharlottemason.com
Bocky
We loved SOTW with the activity guide for 2nd and 4th. The girls loved mummifying the chicken  It has been their favorite history lesson ever.
Amanda82
Thanks for your responses!! Now I at least have a place to start looking!
km123175
We're looking into the Task Cards by Creek Edge Press. My girls are currently 2nd (very advanced reader) and kinder; so, I expect that if we go the task card approach we will do some of the readings together (including the 4 year old little bro) and some of the work will be independent. AK_Mom4
DD loved History Odyessy for Level One. It was all reading good books and fun crafts. She had a great time. We have used Level Two the last two years and it's been OK. I think she misses all the crafts and projects that were in level one.
