FairProspects
how did Caesar's English go? I'm concerned that with all ds's word retrieval issues that it will just be an exercise in frustration, given that there are something like 20 words per week to recall. But maybe I'm overthinking it and it will be just fine? I have a chance to check it out in person in a couple of weeks, but I'd love some BTDT advice before then. My son is/was dyslexic or nonverbal LD (we were told these are the same, but I do not think they are). DS is now 16 yo and from his current school work he does not appear to have any LD. He works slowly and methodically but is academically advanced all around. We tried MCT Voyage and he did not care for the conversational style of the material. He loved Caesar's English though. It was not problematic at all; it was one of the first structured curriculum that DS enjoyed. He has long had a strong working vocabulary and I think he enjoyed seeing connections between so many words. GL!
EKS
Caesar's English was great for my dyslexic son because it only has five words or stems to learn per lesson *and* it expects continual review of previously learned words. WWW, however, was *horrific*. Way too many words/stems per lesson for my son.
AimeeM
It didn't go well for us, though that could have been caused by dd's working memory problems....
