shmily
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find worksheets that correspond with vintage composition books. My kids like the format of Progressive Composition or With Pencil and Pen, etc. Any thoughts?
shmily
Anyone? I'll most likely end up pulling from various texts for my younger one. Any suggestions?
SilverMoon
I don't recall ever hearing of one, but I've used both the texts you mentioned. Neither of them have workbook type activities. With Pencil and Pen has a lot of copywork and writing your own sentences with their prompts and models. Progressive Composition Lessons would have even less to turn into a worksheet. There's copywork, answering questions orally, and guided rewriting of a model.
shmily
I'm sorry, I guess I should have clarified a bit more. I know that there aren't published worksheets, but I thought maybe someone has made some to go along with them. I've started making some for Progressive Composition...for example: I've copied the reading text onto a word doc page, then added writing guidelines underneath for the written section, etc. It makes it easier for my ds to work on if there isn't so much switching from the book to his writing paper. stripe
Living Books Curriculum and some other company made ones to go with Serl's PLL, but I downloaded LBC's (it's usually only a print resource) and the lines are WAY to small for my kid's big writing, so I don't use them. Oh well. I am almost positive I've seen someone on here, or maybe two, talking about making them for some other vintage book.
