ElizabethB
That makes it sound almost poetic! My doldrums usually happen the last few weeks of our school year, so I am happy to encourage anyone with February doldrums, you all can encourage me in May. (The book was twaddlish, so I'm not admitting what it was. Besides, I googled the phrase in Google Books and it was not original, there were plenty of previous uses of the phrase. My twaddle was free on Kindle and you need some light reading in February to keep your spirits up, right?) February is almost over and you can take a snow/ice day off in many parts of the country if you wish, I authorize it!! If the winter storm is not coming your way, you can take a day off to study weather and watch the news people report on 2" of snow like it is snowmaggedon. Katie Jean
LOL too funny!!!! Ahhh so plagued by the doldrums of February indeed! I was literally staring at the calendar, wanting to scratch off a few weeks...counting weeks left and so forth, when my husband called me to inform me he'd made a decision that we are MOVING. Moving in two weeks! Alas my doldrums evaporated! No I do not wish this on anyone! So we will be studying cardboard box shapes and tape dispenser mechanisms while we sort through our belongings..... One way to get through Feb! By May I'm sure I will be needing some prodding as well though so we will have to compare notes then!
Critterfixer
Except in our case it's squalls, not doldrums. Actually, February is going pretty well all things considered. I'm actually thinking that March/April will be our tough time, mostly because the teacher usually gets a bad case of spring fever.

In fact, we had to move a few months ago an extra time--the basement of our house was making me sick. We are just now fully moved in and still a bit recovering from the move. Hopefully I will still be fine in March/April and will be able to encourage you then.
