Lisa in Jax Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I'm trying to find some books I used when I taught travel at a small business college, but I can't remember the name! One of the classes I taught was a human geography course, for which I used a set of LDS books as the text. It was a two-book set with 5-6 page monographs on the various countries. Each monograph outlined the country's typical foods, customs, clothing, major religions, what to say (or do)/and what to not say (or not do) -- how to be culturally sensitive, etc. I think it was intended to give missionaries a "quick look" at a country he might be doing a mission to. I'd like to buy another set of the books, but I can't remember the name of them. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks, Lisa Quote
Amira Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I think you're talking about Culturegrams. Or that's what they were called 10 years ago. It seems like they were sold to someone else, but I can't remember for sure. Anyway, try searching for culturegrams and you might come up with something. Edited to add this link for a sample culturegram for Suriname from this site. Quote
