I'm recovering from some malady that afflicted me over the weekend. I sent dd to Aquinas Learning but I stayed home.

So far today: loaded and ran dishwasher, put away dh's laundry, wiped down powder room, swept kitchen and hall, vacuumed dog hair off family room rug. cleaned clutter off the chair in family room that constantly gets stuff dumped on it, remembered to get chicken out of freezer to defrost for dinner.

Ds's had math tutor this a.m. dh went to work this a.m. but is coming home to teach economics to 12th grader. I did some history and writing with 14 yo.

All in all a nice day off. I wish my voice would come back. When I go to talk I don't know if I'll just sound really husky or if things will come out in a squeak and a croak!

Now I am going to take a nap. I do hope that this evening we all can spend a 1/2 hour on the upstairs hallway. It too has become a major dumping group.

Nope! We took the whole day off (except meals and putting dishes in the dishwasher). After breakfast, we drove to Ramstein Airbase and went to their big mall. We had lunch at Johnny Rocket's, wandered around and just enjoyed not working. I also got an iPad Mini (which I'm typing on right now) and I AM IN LOVE!!!!

So, I did not tackle Monday, but Tuesday had better look out.

I am done with the exception of the bible study for the morning. I guess that will be after dinner now.

BTW..the new baby is adorable. Just saying.

I hope that you felt better soon, Margaret.

I went to the bank. Talked to them a bit about the recent bank robbery.

Then I went to the store. Heard all the sirens. Went out to put my groceries in the car and gawked at the SUV that had been driven right into our frozen yogurt restaurant. A person walking by told me that a 16 year old had lost control of their car.

Now I'm cooking dinner.

Sigh - I suppose the best time for the pipe to burst under the kitchen sink is when dh has a day off. . . . At least the chicken is in the oven.

The kids are just "thrilled" that their Dad Time is being spent cleaning and fixing things.

My kids have had days like that too. Dad's one day off is spent on something that decides to take the day off, also.

Doctor says I have sciatica, preliminary diagnosis. I have to work on getting the muscles relaxed to the point of being able to go to chiro. Thanks for the advice, Jean!

I won't say I accomplished anything today worthwhile. Tomorrow...
