Mrs Twain
I was looking for music appreciation resources, and I found this: http://grades.tapity...eciation-class/ The first link is very useful. It has descriptions of the main instruments in an orchestra and one minute audios featuring each instrument. It also has a nice introduction to Peter and the Wolf and the various instruments. I plan on checking out an audio CD of Peter and the Wolf from the library to listen to the whole production. Other links go to a couple of very interesting talks. The talk about six famous conductors is geared toward adults, but I think my kids will enjoy it. The speaker is quite humorous. The talk about appreciating classical music is well done and entertaining, even for kids. We have also been thoroughly enjoying Classics for Kids from NPR which is free: http://www.classicsf...collections.asp
