BakersDozen
I don't go in for my follow-up until Wednesday so thought I'd check here with the "experts" for now. :) I'm still bleeding from the D&C which was done 10 days ago. Not heavy bleeding but light spotting all the time and then a gush of bright red blood 2-3 times/day. No real cramping to speak of until this afternoon when it felt like my period was starting (but no extra bleeding to go with the cramping). Is this normal? I guess I thought it wouldn't continue this long and am getting a bit irritated at the procedure that won't end. Thanks, ladies.
JessReplanted
I have never had a D&C, but when I miscarried I did bleed for an extended period of time. It was longer, heavier, and more painful than a regular period. :grouphug:
Reflections
I had some extra bleeding after my d&c. Are you doing to much? You've got tons of littles that you're potential running after and not thinking about it. I would sit with my feet up as much I could and rest, rest, rest. And if I was still having problems by Monday am, I would call my doctor (the one who performed the procedure).
BakersDozen
Are you doing to much? Hmmm...that may be it. I rested that weekend after the D&C but come Monday I had to start moving. I've been on a bit of overdrive - my way of coping is to stay busy and not give my mind or body a chance to rest or think. I'll see if I can stop doing laundry (my salve) Monday and Tuesday so as to hopefully see improvement by Wednesday's appt.
DianeW88
Yep, it's normal. It can last up to 3 or 4 weeks, and like post-delivery, if you overdo it, the flow will increase.
