KellyMama
I'm looking at Bible Study for all Ages but I'm wondering what else is similar? I'm looking for something I can do with my 4-8th graders in the fall. I would prefer it to be somewhat self-guided (other than me reading the Bible verse/lesson) so that they can all work at their own pace. As in, I can read the lesson to them and then they can complete the questions/worksheets without too much additional input.
Chelli
If I had 4th-8th graders, I would probably just pick a Bible study book, like the Kay Arthur or Who is God? series, and everyone work on their own, then come together to discuss. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think you would necessarily need a curriculum,
Hunter
Grapevine Stick Figuring Through the Bible. I just buy a TM and focus on the drawing and the scripture portion. I've decided "less is more" and skip most of the activities, so don't need to purchase the different levels. I do the timelines vertically on lined paper, instead of trying to copy the horizontal workbook pages.
happyhappyjoyjoy
The Great Adventure Bible Timeline. It is Catholic, but if you don't mind that it is fabulous. It goes through the 14 narrative books of the Bible, but it lists the corresponding books that go with those. It has them split into 12 color coded time periods. They have one for kids, middle school, high school, and adults. I listened to the CD's when I began teaching ancients and old testament time. I was fascinated with how much I learned. I have some bits and pieces of this. It's good. I use Stick Figuring because I teach cursive first and it's a great fit for my preliterate students. But GABT has some really great stuff.
