wapiti
My two cents: Before deciding to re-do all of algebra 1 now, I would first spend a week or two reviewing instruction on the topics she missed from prealgebra and algebra. If you do it with her, you should get a pretty good idea of where her weaknesses are vs what she just forgot. Then when she seems ready, have her re-take the placement test. Also, if you think there are undiagnosed LDs, now would be the time to find out. It might be tough to get accommodations on the SAT this late in the game, but it's worth a try because accommodations (usually extra time) can make a big difference for some kids with LDs.
