It is no classical model, but actually seems like a decent self led option. What saith the hive? I'm considering using it (with supplementation) for most of my kids this Fall, for a number of reasons, but would love some other perspectives. Not everything is overtly Christian, but I do point to the Bible from time to time in literature, science, history, etc. I also believe in a literal six day creation. I do choose to use materials that talk about millions of years because it is what’s available, and it’s useful for our children to know what’s taught out there so they can be intelligent in a response to it. I do address it to varying degrees when it comes up." Lots of people with different opinions on this subject, and it's worth noting so you can judge whether or not some of the program will work for you and your family. There are definitely a few things, like the view on creationism that I would approach carefully, I need to study the site more to see how much that plays into it. unsinkable Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 I looked at it. Meh. My easy peasy homeschool was Faith and Life (RC), SOTW, Core Knowledge, VIE, a math program, piano and art. Pretty much open and go. I added stuff as the mood struck but these were the tried and true products I used with my little ones...who are not so little any more. What it really did was show me that I was just trying to do too much at one time with my littles. Oh, and though I have decided to just use what we had, I did start editing (the history, science, Bible) for our beliefs. There really wasn't that much to edit anyway though. Next year I will have a 5th, 3rd, 1st, and pre/4 along with a 2 year old and 1 year old. Add my online teaching on top of that and this would ensure everyone at least got the basics and I could spend a bit of time with the littles.
