Jess4879
Awesome!! We did this last year and DH and I had just as much fun as the kids! It was so amazing to watch! We took tons of pictures and I want to have them made into a book for the kids, but haven't quite got around to doing it yet. Must get on that. kfeusse
we didn't like the ladybug one nearly as much as the butterfly one....but maybe you will have better luck with it....

We have done both before, just repeating it for my daughter with Grammar Stage Biology this year. We love then both. We have raised frogs too. We have raised frogs too. how did you raise frogs. That is part of our Science this spring and I would love to do that. The only kits I have found have you raise a frog that isn't suppose to be let go when you are done...it is to grow a pet and I am really not interested in that right now...but it would be awesome to actually see a tadpole turn into a frog. We raised a frog for as long as it lived. :-( The first time the kids got in there without washing their hands the frog didn't make it. The bacteria was so fast. We will not be doing more frogs, we have them in the back yard and observe them there now.

momto2Cs
Thanks for the reminder! Just ordered the butterfly kit with live caterpillars, the ladybug larvae refill, and a praying mantis egg sack. I think we'll be going out to collect local tadpoles as well! Saraswati
Fun - our butterflies just emerged the day before yesterday, and my daughter is taking our ladybugs to release them in her Grandparent's garden tomorrow! Praying Mantis... now that would be neat - I think I'll have to put in an order! :thumbup1:
