Mama Geek
Anyone have any cute ideas of something dd could make for dh for Valentine's Day to give to Daddy?
Starr
You could dip her hands and feet in paint and print a t-shirt for Daddy. We did this when our dc were 2 and 4. Hold on to her hand, dip in paint, press on shirt, put in soapy pan of water.

I like the idea and I think I might do it on a canvas bag instead of a shirt because he always takes one to work with his lunch in it. Starr
I don't remember. It was many years ago. I wonder if I just used their poster paints? Could that be? I would google or check it out at a craft or fabric store.
Starr
E how says that you can use poster paints but they also make fabric paint now. Have fun.
Wildcat
I had the kids make reindeer t-shirts (foot for the 'face' and hands for the antlers) years ago and used fabric paint---- they turned out great. I just spread some around in a paper plate and it made for easy clean up. I was just going through old papers, etc, last week and found little 'scrolls' with hand prints the kids made me for Mother's Day at the Mother's Day Out programs they attended .... looking at how tiny their hands were made me a bit misty. I can't *believe* how fast the years have flown by. Sniff. I think your idea of the canvas bag will be well received!

I would use acrylic paint (small jar) on canvas, poster paint might wash out. Of course, the red I got on my nice jeans faded to pink but didn't actually wash out.
