Katie Jean
Hi all, I am new here but have been homeschooling for 8 years and have become somewhat of a curriculum junkie! I love WTM, and most of what I've used and am familiar with is secular. However, I have dabbled with some non secular unit studies and supplements. I am really wanting to explore the idea of trying MFW next year with my 3rd, 5th, and 9th grade students. I'm not sure if I would use it singularly, I am not sure if its full enough, or if I would still be able to use other books I like as well. (WWE, AAS, 100 Days of Creation, SP, FLL) Anyway, my question for anyone here is a bit of a favor-I have looked at the sample available at the MFW website, but I can't really get a feel for it. Does anyone have access to a copy that you would be willing to scan and email some pages out of it just to give me a taste of what it's all about? I've heard so many good things about it but I am afraid to purchase it if its not something we would get good use out of. If this helps at all-we tried ANWOA last year, and although we loved the literature, the additional bible, science and history daily reading for us was just too much. My throat was raw the first day and attention spans were questionable. I ended up cutting the science out completely (too watered down) and unfortunately even left the bible out (did our own studies) as I felt the historical connections were most important for that particular unit approach. I hope I am making a lick of sense....
