Hikin' Mama Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 We want to switch our personal and business credit cards to cards with sky miles. The one I currently have only does cash rewards. Can you reccomend one that has not been a pain to work with and does not require a yearly fee? Thanks! P.S. we never carry a balance on our cards, but we do use them every month. I want to start saving for future trips I plan on taking. Quote
DianeW88 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Southwest. I don't think they have a fee. We use them to fly to Orlando every year. They have an offer for two free round trip tickets for signing up. At least the last time I looked they did. That's a great time to sign up!! We use the card for everything (and pay off our balance each month), and I always get enough miles for 4 roundtrip tickets each year. www.chase.com/southwest Quote
Hikin' Mama Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Thanks, Diane! The specific trip I'm saving for is to Hawaii, and it looks like Southwest doesn't fly there...yet. :) We just went to Maui and flew Alaska Airlines and I was ready to sign up for their Visa, but there was a $75 yearly fee! I didn't think credit cards charged a fee anymore. I will have to do some more researching on this. But I will keep your link bookmarked for future reference. Thank you for responding! Quote
Dandelion Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I've been very happy with my CapitalOne card and its rewards (no annual fee). Their "No Hassle Rewards" program allows you to redeem with any airline, anytime, and anywhere. Love their online account management as well. Have never had an issue. https://www.capitalone.com Quote

The Alaska Airlines card with a fee comes with a $100.00 companion ticket. There's some fees added on to the companion ticket but still it's a ticket under $200.00. Quote
