Can anyone suggest courtroom type books where the reader is the jury?

Recommended Posts

I picked up this book at the library book store You Be The Jury by Marvin Miller and the kids are loving it. I found another in the series at the library and put it on hold, but when I look on Amazon for similar books, I'm not having much luck.

Can anyone suggest similar titles? It's courtroom trials and the reader is the jury.... :bigear:

This would be for an 11 and 14 yo.

Looks like Amazon used has the whole series of You Be the Jury by Miller; most look to be $.01 + shipping for the paperbacks!

Courtroom II (You Be the Jury)

You Be the Jury: Courtroom III

You Be the Jury: Courtroom IV

You Be the Jury: Courtroom V

One of my DSs really enjoys all of these "minute mystery" collections. Not courtroom based, but all short "whodunits" that he thought were worthwhile:

- Solve-A-Crime (Dover Game and Puzzle Activity Books) -- closest to the You Be the Jury series

- Crime and Puzzlement (series) (Treat) -- also closer to the You Be the Jury series

- Two Minute Mysteries (Sobol)

- More Two Minute Mysteries (Sobol)

- Still More Two Minute Mysteries (Sobol)

- Whodunnit: You Decide! (Conrad)

- Almost Perfect Crimes: Mini Mysteries for You to Solve (Conrad)

- Historical Whodunnits (Conrad)

- The Little Giant Book of Whodunnits (Conrad)

- Quicksolve (series) (Sukach)

And if you want kids as the protagonist/detective in mini-mysteries:

- Encyclopedia Brown series (Sobol)

- Kids Whodunnit series (Conrad)

Thanks Lori! I just might buy those books off Amazon today. I'm going to check the library for the second list.
