AlmiraGulch
I like Thor, too, but only because he's hot. (Sorry....they drew him really well! ). Iron Man is my favorite, though. I love his brain, and his suit. And, in the case of the Avengers movies, Tony Stark's wit.

Desert Rat
Thor in the original comics. Hulk in the movies, especially the most recent. He's funny!
Night Elf
I don't have one but dd14 said if it had to be an Avenger, it would be Iron Man. But if it's a movie character, she would choose Loki.
GinaPagnato
From the movie? Tony Stark's IronMan, hands down!
Word Nerd
Does Loki count? I am usually bored silly by those kinds of movies when I watch with DH, but Tom Hiddleston keeps things interesting. (If you mean comic books, I have no idea.)
katilac
Thor! I love Hawkeye, too, but he doesn't have enough to do in the movie.

Kathryn
DS7 is obsessed with Captain America. DS3 loves Iron Man. If I had to pick, it'd be Captain America or Thor.

Mergath
In the movie, definitely Hawkeye. I could sit and watch his arm muscles ripple all day long.

Parrothead
Iron Man! And the Hulk. I wish they would make a decent Hulk movie. I read somewhere (maybe Pinterest) that for all the money they spend making crappy Hulk movies, they could have made a Hulk.

MommaOfalotta
Im a DC fan first off. With that being said my favorite Avenger is Ironman. But if we are going by pure abs and prettiness, then its Thor. :) ETA: Oops, meant to say DC. Batman all the way!
Mothersweets
Thor! but Iron Man comes in a close second.
Mergath
And the Hulk. I wish they would make a decent Hulk movie. I read somewhere (maybe Pinterest) that for all the money they spend making crappy Hulk movies, they could have made a Hulk. I really liked Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. He was much better than any of the previous ones. Hopefully they'll give him his own Hulk movie at some point.
Mergath
But if we are going by pure abs and prettiness, then its Thor. :) He's almost too pretty. Every time I watch The Avengers I get this irrational urge to have a sleepover and braid his hair and bedazzle his cape.
AlmiraGulch
And let's not forget Scarlet Johannsen as Black Widow in the movies. She has no powers at all but is still completely bada$$!

GailV
My family spends hours discussing this exact question. It's sort of embarrassing. Younger dd is a fan of Hawkeye. Dh is a fan of Ironman. I have no clue about older dd, who is probably our leading authority on DC and Marvel, and the various fandoms of popular culture. I could probably tell you what she thinks of the various acting abilities in the movies, though, as she's been quite vocal about that. For me it's a toss up, and depends on my mood. Either Ironman or Captain America. I really, really, really like Tom Hiddleston as Loki, though.
Soror
Iron Man for entertainment. Personality I'd most like irl Captain America, although Hulk would be a close second in that regard. I appreciate his humility and his past experience being the little guy. Appearance/body wise I'd go for Hawkeye. Thor is just too pretty for me. Mom in High Heels
Iron Man all the way. Hawkeye is a close second because he's just hot. Plus, who doesn't like a man who wears a form fitting leather vest and can shoot arrows? Oddly enough, Indy and I had this very conversation earlier this evening, because Captain America was on. CA is Indy's favorite.

Happy
Walked past a Dodge Avenger this afternoon at a car dealership. It was hotrod red...If I bought it (which I won't) I'd most certainly have to name it Tony or Stark. I've always been a Hulk fan. Loved the TV show so many years ago. I don't care for the Hulk movies. So...Ironman gets my vote...smart and snarky.
Annie G
Iron Man- Tony Stark! For Christmas dh gave me a beautiful autographed picture of RDJ as Tony Stark. Yeah, Iron Man hands down. He's funny, smart, sarcastic, and pretty to look at.
BigMamaBird
Iron Man. Well to be honest, Tony Stark. Wait . . . Robert Downey Jr. really.

Lizzie in Ma
Iron Man, all the way. Snarky, sexy, smart, there is just no bad there. Huge RDJ fan, always have been. Love the bad boys. Wish Chris Helmsworth would do audiobooks, could listen to him for hours.
WishboneDawn
Prepare for the geek... Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau who's now Photon) at number one. Captain America at number two (Yes, even though I'm a Canuck). Ms. Marvel (who I'm soooo hoping is in the next movie. It would be so good to have a female character who could go toe-to-toe with the Hulk.) at number 3. In the movie, Captain America.

coralloyd
Iron Man! My dh looks like him (which I have already stated many times on these boards ;)) and has a very similar personality. I am one lucky girl . :001_tt1:
beaners
I really liked Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. He was much better than any of the previous ones. Hopefully they'll give him his own Hulk movie at some point. I'd probably go with Edward Norton, but that's only because I like him as an actor. Truth be told, I can't remember the difference between all the Hulk movies my husband seems to have collected. I've got lots of geek street cred in other areas, but I never really got hooked on comics or the comic-based movie genre. And let's not forget Scarlet Johannsen as Black Widow in the movies. She has no powers at all but is still completely bada$$! This was what my husband said when I asked him, but I think that was just so I would give him a dirty look. SFM
Definitely, CAPTAIN AMERICA, maybe because my husband is in the military. ;) I have always liked his story and next would be The Hulk.
goldberry
Hotly debated subject in this household also! I'm a Thor girl, but DD14 is ALL Captain America. Part of me was secretly really glad she didn't go for the "bad boy"...:-) DD's favorite line is when Cpt America says something like, Ma'am, there's only one God, and as far as I know he doesn't dress like that..." She positively swoons...
BigMamaBird
I agree. Ruffalo is the best Hulk, hands down. I read that he was getting his own movie somewhere. I just don't remember where I read it. I love his take on it. I saw an interview with him where he was talking about how the internet just blew up with negativity towards him when it was announced that he'd be taking the part. He said he never got upset, just worked really hard. His performance was his big "up yours" to all his detractors. I admire that attitude of letting your actions be your defense. liamtaylorsmom
Def. Captain America by far...but I'm an Army wife so I swoon over the strong, noble, patriotic type.
