Excelsior! Academy
My 2 yo was up all night throwing up. Today the 5yo threw up. The 4yo has horrible diarrhea and now the 8yo is saying he doesn't feel well. Dh left 1/2 an hour ago for a men's retreat. Ahhhhhhh!

Upward Journey
Vent away! I think that's one of my worst nightmares!!!!
Starr
I think your dh had the right idea. Too bad you didn't get away first! :grouphug: I sure hope you are all feeling better soon.
Spryte
Oh no!!!!! We survived that last year - the vomiting started right as DH boarded a plane for Europe. Nightmare of nightmares. I'm so sorry. Hang in there. You will survive. Focus on what has to be done, and let all the little things slide.
Robin M
I would be calling hubby and asking him to come home. Why should you have all the fun. :grouphug:
Catwoman
Am I the only one who is feeling sorry for all of the other women's husbands at the men's retreat who will probably be catching a nasty virus this weekend? Your dh should have stayed home, both to help you, and for the sake of everyone at the men's retreat. These norovirus-type bugs are incredibly contagious. I hope your kids recover very quickly and that you don't catch whatever they've got! :grouphug:
Dandelion
I'm sorry. :grouphug: Hope your little ones feel better soon and that you don't come down with whatever this is too!

Celia
Gack! I feel terrible for you, and I'm imagining your husband lying on the bathroom floor hurling with tons of other men not far behind. He really ought to have stayed home! I hope it passes quickly and that you're spared!
Excelsior! Academy
Thank you for your kind words. Dh offered to stay home. He really would have stayed, but it is a retreat he needs to go to. It is a church related thing and he is in leadership. I really don't think he will get sick. He is one of those annoying people when it comes to illness. He never and I mean never gets sick. The rare times he does it lasts all of an hour. I guess we can put the Netflix Christmas gift from my mother to reallllly good use this weekend.
Celia
My husband is the same way. I totally envy his immune system!
Desert Rat
Aw! I hate weekends like that and I only have 2! Hang in there!
fraidycat
:grouphug: :grouphug: I think this is the first time in 10 years that my kids actually got sick 2 weeks BEFORE their dad left. They usually wait until he's gone, too. I hope it passes quickly.

Catwoman
Just checking for an update -- I hope you guys are feeling better today! :grouphug:
Beth S
Hopefully, your dh will return from the retreat, encouraged by the inspirational teaching, and eager to be involved with his family in a deeper, more meaningful way. :) I would NOT recommend that you greet him at the door with the vomit bucket, but I think that YOU should get Sunday afternoon off while he does Vomit Cleanup Duty. It may just be a 24 hour thing and he'll return to a nearly-healthy home tonight! Here's hoping!
Excelsior! Academy
Thank you for asking. He is home now. He called on his way home and I asked him to bring home dinner to those of us who were feeling well. He gladly agreed and even went out later tonight to pick up pedilyte for the children and chocolate :001_wub: for me. The two and 4 year olds are still feeling badly, but the others seem to be much better. Thank you all for listening.
