SproutMamaK Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I need something to fangirl with. And yes, I just turned fangirl into a verb. The acting in the last episode was just AWESOME. I really love these characters, they're so very human. Lizzie really is judgmental/harsh but open and charming, Darcy is SO awkward and off-putting (yet tender), Lydia so irresponsible yet so vulnerable... can someone please tell me I'm not crazy for being a grown woman wrapped up in a web series? Luckymama Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I started watching while sick this week and am up to episode 41----love it! Dd17 is afraid to start as she is known for her fan girl abilities  Quote
Mrs Mungo Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 It got a little not kid safe this week. Just as a warning. Quote
SproutMamaK Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 Not that they SHOW anything not kid safe... but they do have to deal with the issue. CURSE YOU GEORGE WICKHAM! Quote
Mrs Mungo Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Not that they SHOW anything not kid safe... but they do have to deal with the issue. CURSE YOU GEORGE WICKHAM! Right. So, it would probably be worth discussing with a 17 year old, but I would hesitate to show it to a 12 year old. Quote
Punks in Ontario Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Love them. I haven't been able to get into Lydia's diaries, just because she's sooo Lydia. This has been my mind candy lately. Quote
SproutMamaK Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 You may want to watch the more recent ones of Lydia's videos - say from New Year's on. She's very much a different girl, and her character development is off the charts; you see a completely different side of her. It's actually one of my favorite parts, in a masochistic kind of way. Seeing her become vulnerable only to be exploited and abused by Wickham... it's powerful, though SO sad. In an unbelievable way it actually makes you miss the old Lydia. Edited to add: If you don't want to watch ALL of them (there are a bunch, lol), I highly recommend "Special Two", episode 28. It's an eye opener. Quote
Kirch Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I saw these on fb--showed up on my feed when someone commented on their page. I was curious & checked it out & now I'm hooked. I love the creativity of how they're adapting it to the present day. :) Quote
Mrs Mungo Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 What is this of which you speak? http://www.lizziebennet.com/ Quote
Mom-ninja. Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Oh, man. I'm totally blaming you guys for the fact that I will be up all night and late for my meeting in the morning. Quote
MeaganS Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 We're enjoying them as well. DH loves them too but I'm not allowed to tell anyone. They are fun. Quote
Mommy Grommy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Awesome! DH is away at a conference and I was feeling a little lonely this evening. No longer! Quote
