It's so warm right now. Totally bizarre. I was freezing my hindquarters off three days ago; school was delayed Monday due to ice and now I could wash my car. By Friday, we have snow in the forecast again. I'm sure the wind tonight/tomorrow will be wicked.

I don't know what they mean by "storm" in this area yet - it's not like I'm in tornado alley or anything. But from years of living where storm meant real danger, I just threw a few things together.

Leaving the weather channel on to play and keep an ear out.

Yep. Weird here too. It was nearly 60 here in MI yesterday. Still is today. We're expecting SNOW tonight!!!! It's been raining for DAYS!!!! Well, except for Sunnight monday morning when we got three inches of snow and then ice.

It snowed yesterday and last night. It is sunny and snowy outside, beautiful. My youngest was supposed to go to his K homeschool enrichment program today but since it was icy last night I knew the roads would be bad this morning so he stayed home. The boys had a blast playing outside and now we are about to make muffins.

Eesh, Chattanooga is having a rough time right now. That'll be on the news tonight.

My sister just texted me saying they are under a tornado watch in Chattanooga! Considering most of their neighborhood was decimated by a tornado a couple years ago, she's nervous!!!

We're in northern MI. It got to 50 last yesterday with incredible fog from the 2 foot snow meltoff. Now it's 34 and the rain is freezing and changing to snow and the snow that is left has a nice, thick ice crust on it. I'm staying home today.

Michigan is having really abnormal weather this past week. 15 inches of snow fell in my yard last week over about 4 days time. It all melted in 36 hours of thunder and lightening rain storms that accompanied the record setting temps of almost 60 degrees. We are now on pause waiting for the temps to drop, the wet ground to freeze and then another round of Lake Effect snow is supposed to bring 10 inches of snow.

Having said all of that, I will take snow over tornadoes any day of the week.

It's beautiful, sunny, but very cold (about 15 degrees). We got a lot of snow last night. Here's the view from my back deck right now. :)

ETA: took forever to load this photo, so I just saw the recent posts about tornadoes. :001_unsure: Hope everyone stays safe today!

Right now, no rain, but breezy and cool (was 55 this morning, prob 60-ish right now)...should rain again later. Rained starting early this morning and didn't stop until round 7 am...dumped a good bit and it was just starting to dry up after two solid weeks of rain!

Melted, then freezing rain, then froze into a thick sheet of ice Sunday night.

Melted and made a huge cloud of fog yesterday (no PS).

Currently snowing like its never going to stop (but PS is back in session).

Grey, but that's typical for this time of year.

Raining right now supposed to snow later. Dd hasn't had Headstart all week. Monday snow, Tuesday freezing rain/rain, today rain that going to freeze and make everything a freakin skating rink tonight with snow. Everything right now is all slushy.

yesterday was lots of rain with a high of 55, today it's 29 degrees (and falling) with 3-8 inches of snow predicted. I would guess we have 4-5 on the ground already and according to the radar it's almost passed us, so I'm hoping to miss out on the 8 inch side of things.

:crying: :crying: :crying: Oh no, Tennesse, tornados. I'l be content with our snowy day.

My kids are complaining today about our stupid weather - they'd rather have snow, too! Spent a couple hours up between 2 and 4am in and out of our basement pantry. You know those stupid tornado sirens only go off 5 minutes after the tornado goes by your house. :glare: My kids are particularly sensitive to the storms because a couple years ago a (very weak) tornado went through our yard one night when they were home with my oldest babysitting.

Right now it's cloudy and damp and getting colder by the minute.

Another weather over reaction to whats to come. Just raining since early this morning no major storms, no snow flurries. it was 70's out earlier. Looks like the rain has now stopped and the sun will be out.

Awful. I'm about 20 - 30 minutes south of where that tornado was in Adairsville (video posted above). It's raining like cats and dogs and we've been under tornado warnings all afternoon, with more to come. Makes for an interesting day trying to work like this.

TWC is saying there are people trapped in Adairsville. We have both front and back doors open right now to keep an eye on sudden temperature drops. It's swinging between low 70 to 80 pretty fast.
