My children are not tired

I feel your pain. Today, mine dumped a humidifier over on a pile of books. Then they fought over my kitchen utensils. DS3 threw a fit because the counting bears were not all green, and DS4 threw them across the room. And DS3 just sat in DS4's dinner bowl.

I put everyone on screen time restriction. They were restricted to only screen time until I had a good cry and a cup of tea in my TARDIS mug.

...and are not interested in anything but strewing every toy they own across the living room floor.

In other news, the sun rose in the east and set in the west today.

At least your expectations are in line with their ages. You are in the trenches right now, but it won't always be like this. The physical work isn't so taxing, but then the mental and emotional work kicks into high gear :)

Truer words were never spoken! I always tell my younger friends that exact thing, Barb! If teens could harness their *unique* abilities and use them for good, the world would be a better place!

They are both sick too, and took longer than usual naps. I let them sleep because I figured they needed it and would go down tonight at their normal bedtime since they are sick.

Except both woke up with more energy than they have had in days.

Also, DH is on a 33 hour shift.

I am hiding in the kitchen with a cup of tea.
